Wienerberger

Most of the subsidiaries use a centrally defined IT system, and purchase the software centrally. This, obviously, doesn’t mean, that there is nothing to do locally related to software asset management. Wienerberger is the world’s largest producer of bricks and number 2 on the clay roof tiles market in Europe, and also holds leading positions with pavers in Europe. The central management is in Austria, so the Hungarian subsidiary developed its software asset management system according to their expectations. This system had been reviewed by the expert of IPR-Insights in order to comply the local aspects. The result was a more transparent, more plannable software purchasing and license assigning process.
